RampUp Your Developer Skills

written by markdunn on Sunday, May 24 2009

My company has been working with Doug Turnure at Microsoft for the past several months developing content for the RampUp site on MSDN: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/rampup/default.aspx.  We have recorded videos, developed slide decks, developed demos and written white papers for the SharePoint and ASP.NET Tracks so far.  Doug has developed an innovative approach to address different learning styles.  You are able to view a video of a demo, watch a presentation with slides, read a white paper on the subject and then do a hands on lab.

The subject matter experts working with my company that have been involved in the development of this content are myself, Mark Berry, Tom Kinser, Joe Hall, and Rachel Appel.

We have two tracks for Sharepoint:

Level 1

  • Web Parts
  • Data Lists
  • Event Handlers
  • Workflow
  • Silverlight Web Parts

Level 2

  • Page Navigation
  • Page Branding
  • Web Services
  • Custom Content Types
  • User Management

For ASP.NET we developed three tracks to address basic Web Development, Moving from PHP to ASP.NET and Moving from classic ASP to ASP.NET.

This content is free!  Sign up today and let me know what you think.
